Sarasota bound - time for a real vacation

My goodness. What happened to

a) the summer
b) September?

I don't have answers for you! I've been busy with the best kind of stuff... playing out 3-4 times a week, starting a new band (Casino Royale, with my dear friends Bart Mendoza and David Fleminger), preparing a new band for a gig (November 14, Java Joe's on Adams), and then the regular business of living life.

During this time, I've also been hard at work on a new album, which is coming together so very nicely. I'm thrilled to share this new piece of work with you! It's a collection of soft and quiet piano and vocal songs, stripped down production focusing on lyrics and the stories within. So excited with what we (myself and co-producer/engineer David Fleminger) have been working on. A new chapter, artistically and creatively, has begun and I feel the power surging within me. This album will also be a visual art collaboration, the likes of which I haven't done in 10+ years. So a lot of exciting stuff going on!

This post is just to say that I'm heading to Sarasota, Florida this weekend for a happy occasion - my mom is getting married to a wonderful, wonderful man. I'm so excited to welcome him into the family officially and be there with my family as we celebrate. There will be some manatee excursions and some great pictures, so watch for that.

More news once I get back. Working on being more connected! I needed to "take a break from the internet" for quite a while, but now I'm seeing that I need to get back on the horse again, because I have a lot going on, and SO MUCH to share with you.

Talk soon
