The conversations I want to have about the music industry

I'm in the middle of a conversation with Jeremy Jensen of the lovely Boise, Idaho indie-pop band The Very Most about music and I said something that really encapsulates the kinds of conversations I want to be having about the music industry, especially in my post-hate-mail-burnout-losing-my-booking-agent-and-everything-else-that-pissed-me-off-in-2012:

"I am really only here anymore for conversations that focus on the positive (without being Polly-Anna-ish about it) and the realistic (without being negative and Chicken Little-ish "the sky is falling in the music industry)"

So this is my stance on the conversations I want to be having as an independent musician.
